ESO 2022 Final Facts
Announcing the 2022 Team Winners
Kitty Stone Elementary (Jacksonville) earned medals in 18 of 22 events including 10 gold medal performances to win the overall team title in the 2022 Elementary Science Olympiad at Jacksonville High School on Saturday, February 19th. Mill Creek Elementary from Madison was second and Margaret Elementary (Margaret) took third in the overall team standings.

The Big Individual Winners
Five students medaled in 3 or more events at ESO 2022 at Jacksonville High School. Two students -- Mill Creek's Kayden Barbour & Ashlynn Langston -- each earned medals in 4 events. Three other students earned 3 total medals each including Mill Creek's Erasmus Tettey and Shaun McGrath & Winter Reeves from Valley Creek. Columbia's Isaac Abney, Haley Hartwell from Donoho, and Kitty Stone's Ben Pridgen. ASFL's Marshall Parr, Kitty Stone's Avery Allen, Elyse Bonds, Leah Hosford, Elyn Jarvis, Finley Jarvis, Michael McDermott, Raybon Pridgen, and Mill Creek's Kayden Barbour earning gold medals in two events each.

Celebrating 28 Years of ESO at JHS
After a one-year hiatus for the pandemic, Jacksonville High School celebrated its 28th year of hosting Elementary Science Olympiad competitions with 11 schools returning in our bounce back year. ESO at JHS has maintained its impressive impact on science education in Alabama. Nearly 200 students participated in events in 2022 including students from the Academy of Science and Foreigh Language, Auburn Area Homeschools, Erwin, Greenwood, Jefferson Christian, Kitty Stone, Magnolia, Margaret, Mill Creek, Minor, and Valley Creek. Thanks for helping make ESO 2022 yet another success!
